Hello everyone. Help with this would be appreciated - suggestions to try in particular.
I have a new Windows XP machine for work. Window-eyes v7.5.1 installed. Soon after I began using this machine, Excel crashed. Consistently: I could get to row 14, and Excel would have to close. Word has also become unstable. Documents with tables and other formatting crash, and often, Word creates an auto recovery of the active document. Window-eyes is quiet and sometimes it comes back if I am patient. Other times (if I am not patient) I have to power off and restart. It is true - I have tried making changes to Excel, and based on guidance from within the Window-eyes Manual, I went searching for the trusted macro publishers - specifically Gw Micro. No Gw Micro in Office's list of trusted publishers. We have got as far as deciding to increase the on-board RAM from two gigabytes to four. This is Windows XP 32 bit. I will go ahead and disable unwanted apps, but not sure that there will be a great deal of difference. General instability increased when I disabled the video driver - I had the usual keyboard conflict with accelerator keys affecting Window-eyes, so Window-eyes does operate properly - it is the interaction with Word and Excel which does not work well. Happy to provide more details if requested. Vaughan. ------------------------------- This email and any attachments may contain information that is confidential and subject to legal privilege.
