Running IE8 under XP Pro SP3 I am unable to reproduce this either.
My copy of WE just says "done internet".
You might want to try resetting your Internet Explorer to
defaults. You can do this under tools, internet options, advanced,
reset button. You might also check your view menu and unsure there
aren't any unusual toolbars in there that are perhaps causing unneeded
clutter on your screen.
