if you have microsoft office you already have an OCR scanner for free

i just got a couple items released to me from a school board, and now im
wondering, what preferibley free, scanning n ocr programs are out there tat
work well wit window eyes?... i know there are programs such as openbook,
but that is so outdated n costly, so if you know any, please feel free to
