If you are wanting to scan books you might want to look at ABBYY Fine Reader. I have version 10 and it is very WE friendly. The NothingButSoftware web site has version 9 on close out sale right now for about $15. I use WE 7.2 and am not sure how well it works with WE 7.5 but would thinkk it would be OK. Also, Omni page 16 which is an older version is probably available on Ebay for a pretty reasonable price. I have also used OmniPage 16 to scan books.
