Hi Karyn and list members. I have had similar problems, but my setup is quite different. Outlook 2010 and Windows Professional 32 bit.
In my case - I felt that my machine needed some overdue maintenance - defrag, virus scanning etc., and my crashing experiences have reduced. Often - the crashes would occur at the point of sending the email - but not always. To send: I have chosen alt-S and again - my success rate has gone up. It does seem to me that Window-Eyes and Outlook versions 2007 and 2010 are unstable combinations, but to test that theory further, I do intend to uninstall Window-eyes and set up a brand new install. I believe these issues are becoming more and more difficult to resolve. Best. Vaughan. Window-Eyes -----Original Message----- From: Karyn Campbell [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, 17 April 2012 3:38 p.m. To: [email protected] Subject: Possible 7.5.4 bug Hello all, I think there might be a bug with 7.5.4 having to do with WE crashing while composing an E-mail. What happens is the following: I go into a new message in Outlook 2007 on my netbook. I put in the address(es) I want to send the message to, type in the subject line and then start typing the message. In the process of doing this, I might go back and review and that's when I notice that WE has stopped speaking. The only way to fix the problem is to restart the machine and hope I can get the message saved into the drafts folder as the machine is shutting down. My system specs are in my signature. Has anyone else seen this problem? If so, is there any fix for it? Thanks.
