Fran,

Do you experience the same behavior if you create a new Firefox profile? To do this, press Windows-R to open the Run dialog, and type
"firefox -P"
followed by Enter. Also, what antivirus program is running?

Hello listers and GW-Micro staff:

I continue to have problems with FF 11.

The biggest problem is when I open a web page and click on a link it takes
about 45 to 60 seconds for FF to respond. Sometime during this time, an
announcement will be made that FF is not responding. If I wait, it finally
responds. I can then read that page. However, if I go to a new page on that
site, FF goes through the same process.

Other quirky problems include:

WE reads some lines of code and I cannot stop this until it comes to
an end.

Sometimes when using the Insert plus Tab to read the list of links, I
will suddenly hear three tones (the middle one being of a higher pitch) and
the computer locks up completely.

I am using Windows 7 35-bit and WE 7.5.4.1

The modifications recommended in KB 1127 Were completed.

I would appreciate any suggestions. I am completely mystified.
