The interesting thing about this is that while I've never used Firefox, I heard about the Flash bug on a tech podcast that has nothing to do with blind folks or screen-readers. The sighted host said he was frustrated with it and that it's a known bug specific to Firefox. I believe he said it was acknowledged by Mozilla and/or Adobe, and that he too was forced to use IE. So while it may be hitting us harder, it's also hitting folks that are not running a screen-reader. Hopefully HTML 5 will eventually rid us of this junkware they've never been able to get working quite right since day one.

Regards,
Tom

Greetings,

As has been mentioned previously, there is a longstanding Flash bug
which causes browser instability whenever an adaptive software such as
Window-Eyes attempts to retrieve accessibility information from Flash.
Adobe knows about the problem and has logged the issue to be fixed at
some point. Our best advice until the problem is fixed is to use IE to
access Flash content as it is much more stable in this area.

Steve
