Brenda,

Tom was correct except the slash is in the Math group, not the miscellaneous group.

Also, because many of the math symbols are so common on web pages, we have adjusted our default IE sets to have the math punctuation enabled by default. But of course when you upgrade your Window-Eyes we don't automatically replace any of your working sets but we did replace your factory sets. You would just need to reload the factory sets.. But for you, it is just easier to make the math group program specific and enable it and save the set.

Hi Brenda,

These fall under Screen, Punctuation, Miscellaneous. You can either simply turn miscellaneous on, or if you hear too much that you don't want to hear you can put the ones you want in a character dictionary and set miscellaneous punctuation to dictionary only.

Tom

Hello. This probably has been discussed time and time again. But what
about fractions? Some recipes, for example, have the one half fraction
instead of 1/2, and the only way Window-Eyes speaks those characters is,
if you left arrow and hear the character. Is there some reason this does
not speak automatically?

Take care,

Brenda
