I suspect that to get good OCR results, GW Micro would have to license a good OCR engine, which would add to the cost of Window-Eyes. If it's an OCR app, those who want to run the app could pay the extra cost. FS probably just used their existing license for one of the Open Book OCR engines for their Convenient OCR feature.

Something similar to Convenient Ocr in the competition. And don't tell me this could be done via an app. Built in would be better as some of us don't like to run apps anyway.
