OK, this is pure speculation on my part. This appears to be a difference in philosophy between text to speech developers. Window-Eyes just lands on the HTML H1-H6 element. As where another developer may want to determine what the person wants to do when they land on that element. This goes back to when the start menu key was introduced, there was a difference in behaviours for a time.
It almost boils down to you can be given the information and make the choice of what to do or what to do next compared to we will happily decide for you what to do. Vic From: John W. There's something in browse mode that confuses me. I use www.bookshare.org a lot.. When I get on a page with a list of books I can tab the letter h to jump from heading to heading. The site defines each book title as both a heading 2 and a link. Here's where I'm a bit confused. In jaws in both speech and braille I get the title name and heading announced on a single line and I can simply press enter to activate the link. In WE I hear the heading 2 and the title but my display only shows heading 2. I have to down arrow or pan right to reach the link being on a different line in browse mode. Here's my questions: First, is there a setting to place these elements on the same line as they are in the html?
