Hi again all
So, other open windows turns out not to be the problem with
unreviewable edit boxes in IE8. Just now, I shut down W-E8 with the
alt+control+F4 short cut, and it came back up with the same
problem. I then shut it down with the "Kill Win-eyes" App, and the
problem was solved, at least for now. I don't know if the manner of
shutting down W-E made the difference, or something else of which I'm unaware.
The persistence of the control panel remains, and, when I reopen W-E,
it tells me that "Window-Eyes is already running", which it shouldn't
be since I just shut it down. Too many variables around here.
