Joe, yes I thought that was the problem initially, but it isn't, since I can and do get that problem with no other windows open. I have to shut down Window-Eyes, sometimes more than once, before it mysteriously resolves itself. Thanks for trying. Once reopened, the refusal of the W-E control panel to go back to the system tray where it belongs is also annoying.

Reg,

I haven't experienced your specific computer behaviour, stupid as it may sound, does the problem go away if you minimize the troublesome windows? Ensuring of course that your browser window is maximized, but you'd have thought of that i'm sure.

Good night,

Joe

Hi all

I wrote earlier complaining about an inability to review text in Facebook comment boxes in IE, which seemed to be random. Well of course it wasn't random, but I now think that, on this system, I can only have one program open at a time. I was having the problem earlier this morning with IE open, and Eudora open. When I closed Eudora, the problem went away. I don't know if this is a correct diagnosis and, if so, why that might happen. Any thoughts?
