Hello Olusegun,

When backspacing in a password edit box in IE, the only thing you should hear (assuming there are characters being removed) is "star." If you are not hearing this, then please give us additional details (e.g. the URL of the page, any IE extensions that might be running, etc).

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Everyone:
Hmm, I must be the ONLY BRAT in the block!!! Yesterday, I upgraded to Window-Eyes 8.2 on my Windows7 Professional laptop computer. I then launched Internet Explorer 10; I visited a website that required me to type in a username and password. I made a mistake typing my password; I had to use the backspace key to delete the error, but Window-Eyes 8.2 STILL DID NOT ANNOUNCE what I was deleting. I didn't hear the usual DING DING that used to be the case when deleting words using the backspace key.
Sufficing to say, I am still disappointed!
I've not run Window-Eyes 8.2 in a Windows XP Professional box yet, but I will do so on my cash register computer at work running Internet Explorer 8 and hopefully report back.
Sincerely,
Olusegun
Denver, Colorado
