Greetings,
Actually, you can reset your settings back to the factory defaults. To
do this, open the Window-Eyes control panel, and select File/Factory
Settings. From there, locate "default global settings" in WE 8 and newer
or "Window-Eyes defaults" in WE 7.5, and press Enter to re-install them.
If prompted to merge or replace dictionaries, select "replace." Once
complete, close the dialog and restart Window-Eyes.
Regards,
Steve

As far as I know, there is no way to reset to the factory default settings.
The reset settings option will only reset to the settings you made before
last, and the factory settings dialog takes you into the dialog which gives
you the factory setfiles that are installed.

You might try resetting to factory defaults which is right below the reset
option in the File menu of the Control Panel.
If you know which set file you changed, you can set just that set file
back to factory defaults.

Hi Dennis,
The option "Reset settings" only works if you had not saved your
changes to disk after you made the change; in other words, the reset
process only retrieves the previous version of the settings from the
disk. This is why you shouldn't save changes until you know for sure
that the change works properly.
