Remember that Jabber is a protocol and not an application. There are clients
abound for Jabber.

What are they using to drive it? Are they using Pigeon? If so, you might half
to use Miranda to be the third party link.

Subject: Cisco Jabber for instant messaging with your company?

Hi -
Today our company rolled out the new instant mesaging software we will be using
internally. It's called Jabber and is from Cisco Systems. Is anyone on the
list using this? I'm having issues and will contact GW help desk tomorrow,
too. I'm trying to figure out my best approaches for using available apps and
graphics labels to get this at least to a usable point.
It's odd, some of the button and all of the names in my contact list will read
when I use the mouse pointer, but nothing reads with arrowing up and down or
tabbing the cursor. I can read the message window, but cannot navigate by
keyboard to the text box for my reply.

Considering how much business Cisco does with the government, I'm really
surprised it isn't more accessible right out of the box. I'm still running WE
7.2, but have the 8.2 disk and just waiting to get a tech person with admin
rights to come install it for me. Not sure that will make a difference, but
maybe.

Robin
