I'll have to forward some of the terminology those of you who've responded have used to our technology team. For now, note that the desktop icon and the title bar of the messaging software both say "Cisco Jabber" and all the corporate communications have been just calling it Jabber. While I appreciate that there may be some technical element called Jabber, it seems that Cisco has also used it for it's user interface.

I can read the message window, but cannot navigate by keyboard to the text box for my reply. Considering how much business Cisco does with the government, I'm really surprised it isn't more accessible right out of the box. I'm still running WE 7.2, but have the 8.2 disk and just waiting to get a tech person with admin rights to come install it for me. Not sure that will make a difference, but maybe.
