I think the sounds are awesome. It lets you know when your starting and
shutting down. This is useful if you don't have sighted assistance around.

Hello,
Yes, I find these sounds quite useful, especially if you need to know if
Window-Eyes is starting or shutting down. They are just helpful in
general.
Portia.

I like the chords, as they let you know that WE has indeed either started
or
fully closed. I've had times where WE didn't quite close, causing much
consternation. Well done, GW Micro!--Matthew Chao

LOL, I knew that would probably be the first complaint.
NVDA does this same thing too, and nobody seems to mind.
If GW micro had options to turn off every single thing window-eyes does
the program would fill up 2 dvd's.
I actually don't mind it too much. I must say I was a bit startled by
it at first but when I realized what it was i was ok with it.

I just installed Windoweyes 8.4. Now, when I start or close Windoweyes
I hear musical tones; this didn't happen with 8.3. Has some setting in
Windoweyes been changed or has some app been updated?
O want to get rid of these tones.
Thanks.
