I actually like them myself. They sound neat. I didn't think you could change the tones. Can they be any file? Does it have to be a Wav file?

And actually, the sighted user would have to look to see if Window-Eyes stopped running completely, which a novice would likely not know how to do. But, if you want to turn them off or change them to something else, you can do so in the Control Panel of Windows.
