I myself am undecided. I have one sma left. I don’t need to worry about it for
a while. It will depend on what the update pricing looks like later on down
the line. I use dectalk access 32 because I like the voice for one. For two
it response very fast. So if the update pricing is pretty good I might pay
for the update. If not I have office on all my computers and I might just go
for the office version and buy dectalk access 32. The cool thing is we have
the options.

My thoughts exactly. This seems like a good move on GW’s part since it will
allow those who for whatever reason can’t pay for the full retail version to
still use the software. But I use Eloquence for day-to-day use, due more to its
fast response time than any particular fondness for the voices (in fact I
dislike them intensely), and I like havingg it available right from the get-go.

Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?

I think this free offer from GWMicro and Microsoft is great for a lot of
people. After reading all the FAQ's and asking a lot of questions, for me, I
think I'll keep upgrading my retail version. To make the free version the way
I like it I would need to purchase several add ons and also purchase Office and
the cost of this would probably pay for a couple of upgrades.
