I haven't read the FAQ because I'm not interested in upgrading my Microsoft
Office. That said, I haven't noticed anyone inquiring as to whether an
interested WE user could upgrade their Microsoft, install the free
Window-Eyes, and install the SAPI Eloquence from an older Window-Eyes disk.
I know some functionality is tied to the Eloquence that ships with
Window-Eyes, but I only used the voice rate adjustment during read to end
maybe a couple of times since I upgraded WE. Worth mentioning.

the free version

Hi Loy:

I was undecided at first, but I have decided to keep upgrading my
retail version for similar reasons to what you have outlined. Also, I
like my eloquence and if I went to the free version, I would have to
perchase it, as well as upgrade to Office 2010.
