I've always been a fan of daily digests, and this list is no exception; however, the sheer number of links and the number of replies each message brings in tow are ballooning again. The easiest way to zip thru a digest is via a repeat find for what ever word starts a new message; for Mailman-based lists, Message-id; for Yahoogroups, a heading level; and for this list, the word "Subject:."
This is great except when each message brings in its wake 10 old msgs, all starting with the Subject: designation. Couldn't there be a separate marker for each new posting? The other two services I mentioned seem to do this. Finally, no idea why the links have gone from around 200 per digest to as many as 1078. Just some queries to a great list. -- Regards, Max.
