I'd first try running Micro soft's malicious tool remover, mrt.exe. The quick scan takes a couple minutes and it's fully accessible. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Josh" <[email protected]>

no you don't need best buy. all you need is the talking windows7 installer disk and you just reformat and reinstall windows7. then get someone to read the key on the side or bottom of the computer for you. its on a sticker. Reformatting is easy. the talking windows7 install disk is free.

using windows7 laptop

Hello again Jed,

As I mentioned in my prior message to you: Weird things happen when your computer system is infected with junk! Often, there's no rhyme ore reason for the bizarre happenings. When multiple things are going wrong, in my experience, my computer needs to be purged of viruses and/or spyware or the previous Windows Update messed up stuff.

I do a System Restore to a date prior to the onset of problems. If that does not work, I do another System Restore a couple of days further back.

Usually, if the System Restore fix fails, then you are likely to have real problems requiring expert intervention, such as the Geek Squad at Best Buy. (I don't own stock in Best Buy or have friends that work there; in my town, Fayetteville GA, they do the best job for the least money.)

A couple of months ago, I publicly complained on this list about Window-Eyes having a very annoying bug. The support team at GW Micro patiently listened to my rant and offered possible solutions. It turned out that a Windows Update cause the problems, and a System Restore to a date before the last Windows Update remove the anomaly. (Windows 7 Updates have several times cause major problems.)

Users with problems should routinely avail themselves of System Restore when problems pop up or their computers develop sluggishness and take forever to do stuff - start up, connect to e-mail or the Internet, and so on. System Restore is a most useful and least used Windows feature. I have saved numerous friends tons of time and money by telling them to try System Restore to solve problems that appear all of a sudden.

BTW: I am definitely not a techie type and know little about that stuff, but these suggestions may help.

The best, Peter Duran

Subject: very strange problem with firefox and window-eyes

Hey guys,
I am trying to use a web page, called

www.ringcentral.com

When I get to the page, I have to click on the login link.
Something very strange is coming up. At the very top fo the page it says powered by the we download manager. I have no idea what this is. It sounds like it's some sort of window-eyes download manager. I have no idea what it is, cause I never installed it.
These are some of the other links I see

Manage jolly on click
Wallet on click

Here's something else I am getting at the bottom of the apge, and this is coming up on all my web sites lately. Anyone know how to fix it?

Untrusted Connection
This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to q.interstats.org , but we can't confirm that your connection is secure. Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
What Should I Do?
If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue..
Get me out of here!
