Hi Lou,
You are correct.
Thanks for catching that mistake.
I did meant to go up to the top left corner, which is numpad 7

Hey, Manny.

Thanks for going the extra mile. I personally do not understand why the
telephone keypad and a calculator keypad have the 1 2 3 and the 7 8 9 keys
switched so that they're the opposite of one another. I think you were
thinking telephone when you wrote that the num pad 8 key moves the mouse
pointer up. So you want WE users to use the num pad 7 key to put the mouse
pointer at the top left corner of the screen, then use num pad 2 to move the
mouse pointer down in order to find the controls you spoke of in your
instructions, right?

Thanks again,
Lou N.

from Manny)

Hi Chris,
I found the solution for you.
This will check off all potential malware and list them automatically.
With your mouse
press numpad 1
then mouse down with numpad 8
when you hear settings
insert plus
until you get to setting and left mouse click
then insert plus
until you get to scanner setting and left click
then keep arrowing down with numpad 8
until you hear
action for potentially unwanted program and left click
then shift tab and choose the second choice
which is to list and check for removal.
then press numpad 1
then control shift f
type
general
then press enter
now left mouse click
then arrow down with numpad 8
and make sure create right click context menu is checked on

The logfile will pop up after I try to remove the malware, but I can't
do anything with the items there. It is just text letting me know that
no actions were taken. What happens is that I get the message that the
scan is complete and when I click 'OK', Malwarebytes takes me to the
screen where the results display. If I tab to the box where the
results are, Window Eyes will read nothing and I can't seem to do
anything with the apparently empty box. I know the results are there,
because I've gotten a sighted person to read them and check the items
and then clicking the remove button will work and the logfile shows
that the items were removed. I can read the results with mouse
navigation, after getting the sighted help to remove the items, I am
wondering if I can use mouse navigation to click each item even though
the check boxes are not read along with the item names. I am going to
try that next time to find out if that will work.

Thanks,

Chris

Chris,

When I ran MalwareBytes last weekend, the results were automatically
brought up by opening the Log file in
NotePad. Make sure that you can't get to the results by pressing
ALT-Tab and finding them in NotePad.

I just did a scan with Malwarebytes. It has been a while since I used
this application, but I decided to go back
to it as an extra line of defense because it worked so well for me in
the past. The problem I have is that Window
Eyes is not reading the results and control+a does not seem to work
either. I have the results up now after
repeating the scan twice and having it not deal with the Malware. I
donâ¬"t really care to scan again, so I
thought I would ask on the list to remind me how to get this to work
or let me know how if it has changed. It has
been so long that I am not sure if things have changed or if I am just
not remembering how to do this. I was
planning on just holding down shift and down arrowing next, but as I
said, after two failed attempts and rescans,
I would rather ask and be sure than go through this yet again.

Thanks,
Chris
