Hi Dave,
I think I responded to this one and figured out a workaround. You have
two options as I see it.
1. uninstall TB Enhance.
or
2. hit your alt key to focus the menu then hit it again to focus the
message.
The easier of the two is to uninstall TB Enhance until a true solution
can be found if reading braille.

Again, my fault here, I should have been even more specific. It's not
in the composition edit box, it's in the reading of a message that has
already been composed where the problem is. Hence why I made the
comment about browse mode. not getting any response from the active
braille in that windo but I am getting feedback in the main tbird
window and dialogues themselves.

Hi Dave,
The thing is, though, that when we're composing, we're not in browse
mode, nor is it even possible to enter it to review our message.
There has to be an answer, though.

I should have clarified. This is in the reading window when using
Thunderbird. I have no idea what the font numbers mean but it
doesn't seem to have had any effect. This is the first time I've
noticed anything like this. You'd think that it would be the same
because the browse mode buffer should be the same across all apps,
right?

Hi Vaughan,
Here's a long-shot, but, in Thunderbird's Options, in the
Composition Tab, in the General Sub-Tab, there is a setting for the
font to use. I'm wondering what would be the effect of choosing a
Fixed-width rather than variable-width font? If this doesn't help,
what about tabbing down to Size and choosing something other than
Medium? Finally, what about changing the background colour; okay,
the foreground seems to be white, but I'm not sure what BFFFFFFFF
is; ideally, we want white on black.
Thanks,
Rod

Hi Rod.
In my case, I use the global braille settings across all apps, so
if the problem is in the set file, it won't be a direct braille
problem.
Could it conceivably be in the editor that Thunderbird uses?
Keen to take up your offer of help, so my question above at this
stage is speculative.
Thanks.
Vaughan.

Hi Dave and Vaughan,
I'm not a braille display owner, and so I can't see why your
experience of Thunderbird would be different than using any other
program, unless there is something specific in the set file for
TB. How can I help?
Thanks,
Rod

I am not receiving support for the braille display. When I

to work fine in Firefox. Any thoughts?
