Hello Robert, In order for screen readers to gain access to documents in Adobe X or XI, you must disable protected mode. Press Control-K while in the program to open its preferences. If you are in Adobe X, navigate to the security treeview item; in Adobe XI go to security enhanced. Next Tab to, and uncheck, the options for protected mode. When this is finished, activate the OK button, restart Adobe Reader, and you should be able to read your files again.
