John, the keystroke for spell checker in Word is f7, but that method is not as friendly as it used to be. The simple method of using alt apostrophe to search forward for misspellings and alt semicolon for searching back for misspellings works very well. Once one of those keys finds a spelling error, you just press the application key to get various choices. Most of the time the first thing highlighted in that context menu will be the correct spelling of the word. That menu also includes suggestions and other spell checker functions such as "add to dictionary".
Bill From: john riehl [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, October 27, 2014 1:24 AM To: gwinfo Subject: spell check does not work I'm using Offic-2010 Windows-7, the latest version of WE and Outlook and Word Enhance Apps. Spellcheck does not work. When I press F-8 to spell check an e-mail or document, We does not read me the errors; tabbing to get to the suggested corrections is problematic and WE sometimes locks up. I can't find the keystrokes for finding the error and reading suggestions in the app Help. It used to be that the spell check worked beautifully; WE read each error and I could tab to suggestions, arrow down, or tab to ignore, change, etc. Now all of this functionality is broken. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks. John riehl If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
