That's a very reasonable theory; whatever the cause, it's really irritating
and other screen reading programs don't have this problem.

Hi John,

Yes, and many other have seen this, and I tend to think it's more like WE is
reading a region of the video buffer, that is, stuff that was once selected
by the user or displayed.

Currently, I'm seeing this in my infrared remote control program, which has
a hidden systray icon, and yet, when a button is pressed, suddenly, focus
goes to a treeview of button actions which, though is part of the interface
of the remote control program, nonetheless, is not in the systray or
anywhere else.

In my case, if focus were truly in the treeview of button actions, I should
be able to arrow through it, but this is not possible, since it's stuck in
one place.

I don't get why this is really going on, but I wish it would quit. Smile

Good luck,

Rod

I've noticed that Windoweyes will periodicaly, and for no apparent reason,
read items that I've pasted to the clipboard; occasionally, again, for no
apparent reason, it will say that the clipboard has focus. I have to shut
down and re-open WE to get it to stop reading clipboard items once it
starts. This has been around for some time; I was hoping the Betas would
have fixed this problem. Has anyone else noticed this behavior?
