Yes, I could turn off the Cable Modem as you suggest. But if I do
this, then I also turn off my Home phone, which goes through this
Cable Modem. I use Comcast for Internet and Phone, and both go
thrugh this Modem.
I was hoping to put some sort of a Switch between the computer and the Modem.
