I see all of this bashing of Windows 8.1 and I must say that I have to
strongly disagree! Windows 8.1 is Microsoft's attempt to bring smart
phone apps to the desktop. In Windows 8.1, you can use those apps or
simply delete or ignore them. The desktop is still there and security
has been enhanced. No OS is perfect, including apple's, but I find
Windows 8.1 faster than seven and more crash proof than earlier windows
versions.
