Hello, I must agree with every statement. I have successfully set up numerous windows 8/8.1 machines myself with little to no issues. Although I do not like the start menu itself, there are add-ons that will enable you to have the classic menu you are use to. Moreover, just like with any other OS, there will always be challenges. Just a thought to consider. I use a mac myself and sadly, there are issues with it that for the sake of the list, I will not get into here. Best wishes and take a look on applevis and see for yourself what issues are presented.
