For the record,
I went to the site that was emailed off-list.
The web developer didn’t label the button, having said that, when pressing
enter on the button two buttons magically appear, login and forgot password,
both buttons read perfectly for me.
Welcome to dynamic web.
As far as the double pressing of keys. I’m betting the page is still
speaking. You’ll need to stop speaking the page with control then use alt-a
for favorites.
This is a change that was made in 9.0 as it does a read to end where 8.4 and
previous just started reading a chunk of text. This is why in 8.4 you’d always
start at the top of the page and not where you stopped speech. Now because we
perform a read to end you are near the location on the page where you stopped
speech.

Hi,

Yes, I had the problem of unlabelled buttons on my grocery ordering site until
I switched on the Speaking of graphics with no alternative text under
Verbosity, Browse mode, Miscellaneous, and tab over to Speak graphics with no
alternative text, and then change the setting to on, since it is off by default.

Also, note that the new WE 9.0 has a new keyboard implementation such that you
need to be more patient or thorough or however you want to understand it, and
this seems to give a more reliable overall keyboard response, in my experience.

“Thank you,

Rod

I’ve noticed that since installing we 9, I have to press Alt+ A twice to open
my favorites, I have to press ctrl+shift+F twice to get the find dia box. We is
no longer reading buttons as anything but “button”. When in version 8.++ it
read the buttons correctly. What’s up with this.
