Hi, Sam.
I'd say the pendulum is swinging in a bad direction for accessibility at this time. On a brither note. This new browse mode is great! Some pages like youtube don't automatically engage browse mode, but most of the time, the screen reader and computer do exactly what I would want them to. Since upgrading, I am able to use IE eleven--which I prefer to Firefox. A big thank you to whoever wrote the IE enhanced app. Accessing tables on web pages seamlessly was a great step forward. <grin>. Of course, sometimes I still try to engage the nonexistant table mode, but that's a learning curve issue. Gold Wave and WE no longer tangle up and stop working for me. Thanks for that. All in all, I'm glad I upgraded. Thanks, Ai Squared, Lou N. _____ From: Sam Bushman [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2015 8:56 AM To: [email protected] Subject: issues with Upgrades and New Window Eyes Software Hi All, I usually say nothing about complaints and issues people are having with software and how WE works in there personal situation. However, this time I do need to speak up and defend GW. Creating software and especially upgrades to that software is not always a simple straight forward process. Some times the target OS makes changes that requires the developer to do or not to do things as you would like and or have always done them. Other times you use a library or code that is licensed by others and for lots of reasons you don't have access to that code and or control of that code any more. The Skype Tool kit is a great example of this. I wish that we could always move forward with stable software with features we all love and need but, unfortunately that is not the real world. I believe GW is doing the best they can and I support them in this effort. I just paid for the upgrade and am for one grateful to have it even if it has some issues. I for one would appreciate the reporting of duplicatable bugs so they can be fixed. I would like to hear about how people are finding solutions to issues they are having. I would like to work together to find answers to the problems we all face and find ways to help others. Thanks for listening.
