Hi Sam and everyone,

I would like to champion or praise your approach to this ongoing issue of
trying to improve accessibility in this ever-changing world of technology.

It is, in truth, an optimistic approach, and this approach is needed in
every aspect of our lives.

For myself, I very much appreciate the improvements in Window-Eyes 9.0, and
I have also noted some challenging side-effects of Window-Eyes' improved
accessibility.

For example, as Window-Eyes 9.0 is more responsive to desktop highlighting,
this has caused me frustration as it has allowed previously unresponsive
system tray icons to grab focus.

However, my personal unique solution was to revert to Window-Eyes 8.4, and
yet to run Window-eyes 9.0 in a virtual machine, where I can enjoy its
improve web accessibility.

This is but one example of how I have tried to help myself to champion the
good while avoiding the unwelcome side-effects of software which is better,
overall.

What else can we do in life but evaluate what life has to offer us
personally for our specific situation, and this is no less true of our
screen access technology.

Also, There is nothing wrong with using all the available screen readers as
well as all of the browsers and all of the different communication software
or word-processors, etc. etc.

I've had to face the fact that one-stop shopping for accessibility is a
wonderful dream, but it is not yet a reality, if it ever will be.

And, let us not forget the Apple World.

Take for example Spotify, which works pretty amazingly on my IPhone, while
the Windows desktop program is the pits.

These are just a few things I've wanted to say over the past while, and I
certainly don't mean to preach, nor to shut anyone else down.

In the end, I very much appreciate AI Squared's Window-Eyes development
team's efforts to help us hack our way through the PC jungle (smile), and I
remain faithful to helping us all move ahead.

All the best,

Rod Hutton

Subject: issues with Upgrades and New Window Eyes Software

Hi All,

I usually say nothing about complaints and issues people are having with
software and how WE works in there personal situation.

However, this time I do need to speak up and defend GW.

Creating software and especially upgrades to that software is not always a
simple straight forward process.

Some times the target OS makes changes that requires the developer to do or
not to do things as you would like and or have always done them.

Other times you use a library or code that is licensed by others and for
lots of reasons you don't have access to that code and or control of that
code any more.

The Skype Tool kit is a great example of this.

I wish that we could always move forward with stable software with features
we all love and need but, unfortunately that is not the real world.

I believe GW is doing the best they can and I support them in this effort.

I just paid for the upgrade and am for one grateful to have it even if it
has some issues.

I for one would appreciate the reporting of duplicatable bugs so they can be
fixed.

I would like to hear about how people are finding solutions to issues they
are having.

I would like to work together to find answers to the problems we all face
and find ways to help others.

Thanks for listening.

Sam
