Hi Manny: I get the same thing in WE 8.4 and Windows 8.1 from time to time. It has happened allot the last couple of days since I have been doing alllot more work in NotePad and Visual Studio and other places, e-mails. I never noticed it much before and it is not happening now so I hope it has fixed itself. If I knew how to do it I would analyze the task manager or other tools to figure out what was actually causing the problem but allot of reviewing that and the system logs and I have nothing. Rick USA

It could be reading fine one second and not the next. It seems that going back and forth through a document causes WE9 and We8.4 to become corrupt Sometimes just killing WE9 and restarting it works, but sometimes only a computer reboot fixes the issue. ... Good Luck, Manny please help me reach a million clicks by forwarding my stand-up comedy performance to your friends, or Tweet or Facebook it. ** ** ** ** ** **http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75fbevlz10g ** ** ** ** ** computer specifications: Window Eyes 8.4, Dell xps420 Windows 7 home premium, with dual boot to windows 8.1, with start8 from: www.stardock.com with 8 gb RAM, Intel q6600 quad core drivers and software updated software recommended: Firefox, Thunderbird, security: Microsoft security essential, Malware Bytes pro, Win Patrol, Roboform, On 1/27/2015 8:57 AM, net bat wrote: > i only use notepad. but even so there is many times when i open > notepad w e 8.4 and now 9.0 goes silent. even if i left mouse click to > try to put focus on the edit window. > i have to close the text file and re open it before speech returnes. > > > -----Original Message----- From: Dave Bahr > Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2015 10:38 AM > To: gw-info > Subject: sluggishness and silence in rtf files > > Hi, > has anybody noticed in window eyes 9, trouble reading RTF files?
