i also am getting the lock ups with the new scripts
windows xp pro sp 3, 1 gb of ram pentium 4 3.0 ghz.

Jeff, still having the problem but heres what happens. When I bring up
Winamp I hear nothing. I can still do things in Winamp but keyboard
commands are very sluggish. The Control Backslash doesn't bring up the
Window-eyes control pannel at all, a problem that prevented me from trying
to bring up a software synth.
I thought for a while it might have something to do with using other
programs then going back to Winamp. When I first installed the new
package, I oppened up and closed Winamp about 50 times and it worked every
time. I was almost about to write you but I got sidetracked and starting
brousing on the internet and went bback to Winamp and no speech. I will
try some things with sighted assistance this afternoon to see if there is
anything different about the screen but I would imagin not. When I'm in
the lost speech mode and hit x to play a file it plays and when I hit v to
stop it stops but all hotkeys have about up to a half second delay. I can
still use the computer but no speech and very sluggish.
I'm using a Dectalk Express external, Windows XP Pro 1 gig ram

P.S. If it would help at all I could have you call me and creat the
problem and put my Grandson on the phone and he could read the screen. He
lives with us and will be 14 in July, and I am trying to plant the seed in
his mind that he could do me and us a real service by going in to this
type of technology.
