Similar findings with my HP Pavilion DV6423, Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 and
2 GB of RAM, as well as with my Dell Latitude D630 and 4 GB of RAM. I can
also rule out CPU issues, as I was able to get into Task Manager and saw
that nothing was causing the CPU usage meter to spike. I'd love to put a
code profiler on that script and know where it's spending its time, except
that I'm not sure that that's it, either, because if I unload Window-Eyes
and then load JAWS, I still get the sluggishness. For those more wise in
the ways of Window-Eyes than am I, does "quitting" Window-Eyes leave any
stray processes running that might in any way be involved with scripting?
