I have been noticing some problems with the shared object from the
toolkit which produces the messagebox. The DailyBlessings script
displays a good bit of text with each message posted to the screen.

With Windows XP Pro at work, the messageBox seems to display just fine.

With Windows xp home basic-at least on one computer-the messagebox
displays a truncated version of the text. I also see when I hit the
control-shift-T that the messageBox is not maximized like it is on my
work computer.

With Vista home basic, SP2, the messageBox is maximized, but very often
the message will not speak when the box pops up. I can press
control-shift-W to read the message and it seems to display the entire
message and the messageBox is maximized.

I have some questions:

First, why does the shared object messageBox act differently with these
different windows versions?

Second, is there something I can do to make the messageBox always speak
its text when it pops up?

Third, is there a way to give a script command to maximize the
messageBox before it pops up?

Comments and suggestions would be welcome!

Thanks,

Jeff Weiss
