There's no built in, programmatic way to sort a list view. You can, however, set the sort="yes" option in the list view's element in the XML (check the addremove.xml for an example). If you do that, the contents of a list view will be sorted automatically when the list view gets rendered. If you want to sort the contents on the fly, you'll need to create your own routine to handle that.
