So I was wrong. List boxes and tree views can be sorted, but to sort a
list view, you need to sort the items prior to adding them to the
control (as J.J. as already done).

I thought for sure there was a way to specify the sorting method of a
list view, especially since you can retrieve that information. I also
vaguely remember discussing this internally and concluding that it was
an omission of sorts.

There's no built in, programmatic way to sort a list view. You can,
however,
set the sort="yes" option in the list view's element in the XML
(check
the
addremove.xml for an example). If you do that, the contents of a list
view
will be sorted automatically when the list view gets rendered. If you
want
to sort the contents on the fly, you'll need to create your own
routine to
handle that.
