Hi David: I dont think you will find a single class for all Calendar Objects
even under a single platform like Visual Studio.
There are diferent Calendar classes for diferent needs. There are calendar
classes based on WPF and Silverlight, Winforms Projects and ASP Web
Projects.
There are also diferent classes such as the MonthCalendar and DatePicker
Classes which are also Calendar Classes.
These are composite classes derived from other classes and not a single
"base" class. Scripting a base class would likely not work anyway since the
base class is not what appears in the DOM of a User Project.
In addition for any Third Party calendar classes there will be an unlimited
number of variations on controls derived from any attempt at using a "base"
class. DOM representations, Operating Systems and programming Languages in
play dictate an unlimited number of variations to consider when trying to
build a Global Script for all calendars displayed on a users machine.
If there is something like that in languages or operating platforms other
than Visual Studio I am not aware of them.

Subject: Base Calendar Class
Hello,
I am new to scripting and I'm trying to learn by writing a VBScript app
for calendars in general, and for a Gregorian Calendar in particular. I
figured there surely is a base class for calendars from which all manner
of calendars can be derived! When you consider that calendars are based on
the astronomical events of rotation and orbits, you can see the advantages
of a class.
So, where can I find such a class? If I can get the Gregorian one working,
especially since there are already many such wheels already invented, I
may branch out into other calendars.
I've looked at the CalculateDate app and can kinda sorta see what is going
on, but I'm not familiar enough with the foundations and do not yet have
the confidence to try anything ol' thing. Hence, my query.
thanks in advance for any pointers/references. I don't know if I'll have
to dig into MicroSoft, GWMicro's tool kit, Homer's shared objects, or
where.
