Hi Vic,
Yes, I should have done that and forgot because when uploading I keep
forgetting that you can not tab to it, you must mouse to it. Spending too
much time there I just wanted to just get it over with.
I will add that when I make my next version, which will have all items
for properties and the ability to edit, change, and delete the listings in
the sort categories beneath the top 2 UnInstallables and All programs
categories.
Which I will change to an add or delete option for those who want to
display certain items of interest. For each of those extra listings take the
top all program listing and make another list of just those items. And yes,
there duplicates of the first 2 listings, UnInstallables and all programs.
Now some may sound like duplicates but you have to look at such things
as what KB update and such they relate to.
There should not be any duplicates in the other 8 listings since there
first come first serve basis selections. Just the fact that the first is a
listing with an Uninstall program where the other lists all of that type
including the Uninstall program.
I also have to clarify when a Uninstall can be made and that is when you
are on a name and expanded into it's properties, either one will allow the
Uninstall for you should not be able to select from a list without knowing
to what it goes to.
In the next upgrade I will address that issue. Have the Uninstall button
disabled when not inside the tree leaf and on or inside a program name. Also
have an add or delete button for categories when on the category name and
disabled when inside a program listing.
Having the ability of sorting by a name or part of a name gives you
flexibility to find programs that you think might be installed or not sure
what the spelling is. Of course you have to get the sequence correct but not
the complete name and it will not be a case sensitive search.
I just wanted to first get it out and get feedback on what is there and
add as many properties as possible on the list.
Like I said, it only looks for programs installed that have either the
Uninstall program or a DisplayName or SilentDisplayName attribute.
/Eventually it will allow you to look at all programs that are
installed. My check for UnInstall names may not work in some cases and will
wait and see what conditions cause that.
Sincerely
Bruce

Bruce,
You might want to put the control-Shift-U hotkey in the installer dialog so
people know how to start the app without going into the Help info. Just a
suggestion.
The app is working in Windows 7 but I am getting many, many more uninstall
items than are actually there. Many seem to be duplicated. This was just on
a quick look.
Best regards from Ohio, U.S.A.,
Vic

Hi Dennis,
I am not sure what you are asking. Did you download it and save it on
the hard drive? Then go to the apps menu item for Add/Remove and hit the
add button. Or to the App Manager and hit load. But, the first is the way to
go to insure addition to the main list.
