Rolf, I will submit a bug report to macports.
Yeti, I have tried what you suggested and it did not seem to help:
bash-3.2$ export PATH=/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:$PATH
bash-3.2$ cd /opt/local/bin
bash-3.2$ export DISPLAY=:0
bash-3.2$ ./gwyddion --no-splash
Assertion failed: (status > CAIRO_STATUS_SUCCESS && status <=
CAIRO_STATUS_LAST_STATUS), function _cairo_error, file cairo.c, line 87.
Abort trap
bash-3.2$
Any further suggestions?
