Yes, that's not a problem (gwyddion already consists already of six
binary packages...). I was more concerned, that the gwyddion-binary (or
some library), which got built with pygwy enabled, would lateron expect
to have the pygwy-files around. But maybe that was a stupid idea...
Anyway, I read your answer as: "There won't be any problems in doing so
- as long as you get the Debian packaging correct.". ;-)

So, to James:
I will try to provide a gwyddion-pygwy package for Debian, which will
then move to Ubuntu. The point is only, that new binary packages will
have to be approved by our ftp-masters (after I have built them
correctly, of course... ;-) ). These two steps might take some time.
After that, Ubuntu will probably sync rather quickly, I expect.
There will be packages for version 2.12 without pygwy coming soon (maybe
next week or so). After that, I'll try to get packages with pygwy
enabled uploaded. These will probably carry a Debian revision number -2,
i.e. 2.12-2.

Best Regards,
Jan
