The volume units are calculated as lateral_units^2 * value_units. I have verified this. So, if you see volume units in nm, most likely you got lateral units imported wrong (i.e. the lateral dimensions are unitless). You can correct the units manually using Basic Operations -> Calibrate. Of course, the incorrect file import should be fixed. Please send me a file exhibiting this problem (preferably small and compressed with lzma, bzip2, 7zip or a similar program), together with information what the correct dimensions, values and units are expected to be.
