Hello Bibiana,

my guess is that your problem might be related to the well known issue with 
Nanoscope v5.xx software - corrupting file headers when moving/copying files. 
Can you open the files (the ones you've copied not the original ones in Capture 
folder) with the Nanoscope software?

What shall I choose in: binary data? What is  the start at offset, how many 
bits for sample size,  after each  sample/row skip.  As you can see my scan is 
1umx1um with 512 lines  are  these the physical dimensions and resolution 
respectively?  In this  particular file, shall I use 15 nm as Z-scale?
