Dear Tassilo,
If you have an image that is just the tip of the colloid (as imaged by a
single surface spike), you could use Data Process>Level>Fit Sphere.
If you use the blind tip reconstruction technique suggested by Daniil
Bratashov, then you could also apply the fit sphere function to the
reconstructed tip image.
