Ours (a Mexican redhead creatively named Polly) had a habit of putting
his head down to be scratched and then taking a good bite out of the
person who petted him, if they weren't fast enough.

Ewwww.....I've seen the bombs my parrot can drop.
Personally, I keep my parrot off my shoulder, because he's easily
spooked, and I've grown fond of my earlobes and eyeballs.
