The gown should be lovely--the inspiration portrait is a new one to me, but then, I'm only slightly familiar with 16th century German styles. What is the "krantz" that you're going to make? Is it a decoration on part of the dress? a hat or head covering of some sort? --Sue, who sometimes looks remarkably like someone named "Maire," who is an SCA member with all sorts of Official Alphabet Soup (for late-period embroidery, primarily)
