I'm an MFA, too, but Yale figured that since it was a 3 Year terminal
degree, we have the right to wear PhD robes (and be called Dr) -- so that's
what they gave us.

Well, that's awfully nice! That makes me feel better about bending the rules to wear a Tudor cap instead of a mortarboard. I can't stand mortarboards.
