I did props for "The Devil's Disciple" and needed old fashioned handcuffs. I got them from the sheriff guy who patrolled campus late at night. We got to chatting and I mentioned needing them and he said they had some I could borrow. They were so cool! I have no idea how old they really were, but at least 100 years, I'd guess, iron, with heavy locks. Probably should have been in a museum, but there they were, hanging out at the local jail. They were large, maybe meant for leg shackles--the actor just slipped his hands in to them without opening.
